Steven Gerrard help England secure world cup berth with a goal in the 87th minute against Poland. The Liverpool skipper put the game beyond Poland reach from a solo effort that see him get in behind the Polish defenders to poke the ball into the net.
Wayne Rooney had opened the scoring early in the 41st minute to give the Three Lions the lead but Poland manages to keep Roy Hudgson?s men at bay for much of the second half before Gerrard adds another to make it 2-0 for his team.
England now sits atop of group H ahead of Ukraine and has now officially booked their ticket for the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.
